Wednesday is the perfect opportunity to corporately satisfy our spiritual appetites. Our Devotional Call happens at 6:00 a.m. and lookout for our Wednesday Inspiration from Bishop since we are on summer break from Bible Studies.

The Men’s Locker Room meets on Tuesday nights at 6:30 p.m. Real men, with real dialogue about real issues – it happens in “The Locker Room.”

-This summer, we are reading T.D. Jakes’ HE Motions – Bishop Debnam will be leading us through THOUGHTS and REFLECTIONS throughout the summer.

-And – we plan to hold a Men’s Prayer call during June, July and August.

The 365 Days of Prayer team  invites the church to pray and grow together by reading and incorporating the suggestions in the book, Praying Together: The Priority and Privilege of Prayer: In Our Homes, Communities, and Churches by Megan Hill for the month of May.  There will be a Prayer Call established and moments of prayer during Crusade for us to put the book to work!  The books are available on Kindle and on Amazon.com.

MSBC Commemorative Bricks – Pricing Remains at $150.00

We have sold more than 500 Commemorative Bricks.  As a reminder, the bricks will be placed at the courtyard entrance for our NEW House of Worship.  This is your opportunity to preserve YOUR FAMILY’S LEGACY IN STONE.  Working with our installer, we are happy to announce our brick pricing will remain at $150.00 for the initial order/installation which we plan to finalize on August 1st.  Initially we extended the $150.00 pricing through last week and now we are announcing this pricing will remain in effect through August 1st when we will finalize our initial installation contract.  Order your brick today - you’ll be joining hundreds of individuals and families whose names will appear in stone as a lasting testament to the Grace, Faithfulness and Glory of the Lord. Complete order information is available online at or in the Church Lobby following all services.

The annual Kingdom Association of Covenant Pastors is set for July 18th – 20th at New Psalmist Baptist Church.  MSBC Leadership – including Preachers and Diaconate are encouraged to be a part of the Opening Night Worship Service on July 18th at 7:00 p.m.  We are confirming attire information but wanted to make sure we got these dates – specifically the opening night date/time - on your calendars.  The Conference, which is opening to the entire church membership, continues during the day on Wednesday and Thursday.  If you are interested in attending the days sessions, contact Deaconess Robbin Brown regarding the availability of complimentary registrations.  Here is a link to the full conference schedule:  http://kingdomassociation.org/index.php/2017-conference-outline

Brothers - On Tuesday, July 25th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. - the Men of Morning Star will gather at Nick's Fish House for Food and Fellowship with our very own, Bishop Dwayne C. Debnam. Nick’s Fish House is located in the Port Covington area of Baltimore. They offer the freshest seafood menu items, including steamed crabs and their famous crab cakes. For the event, each person would be responsible for their own meal cost and we would ask everyone to make a small contribution (that evening) to cover our Pastor’s meal – and everyone knows, he’ll be eating crabs – smile.

Nick's Fish House is located at:

2600 Insulator Dr.
Baltimore, MD  21230

On Saturday, August 12, 2017, we will have our MSBC Back to School and Health Screening Fair.
A Diaconate Ministry outreach effort, we plan to give 300-500 backpacks filled with school supplies to children in our surrounding communities.  We are asking each MSBC ministry to accept the “School Supply Challenge!”  From July 9- August 6, each ministry will be a part of a “friendly competition” to see which ministry can donate the most school supplies.  Will it be the Ushers?  Or the Praise and Worship teams?   Please encourage all of your ministry members as well as the general congregation to participate!

Bins will be in the lobby to drop off supplies during the collection period.  Since we will be serving students of every grade level, we are asking that each ministry collect supplies for a particular age group—Elementary School, Middle School, and High School aged children.  Attached is a list that shows which group your ministry will be providing supplies for, and also attached is a specific list of school supplies for each age group.

Again, this is such an important way for us to give back and “build and rebuild lives” of the children in our community!  Should you have questions about the initiative, please contact me Lisa Morgan at , or Roslyn Kelly at .
