Listening Groups!

ListeningSocialAn overarching MSBC goal is getting more persons actively involved in the life of the church.  Our challenge is discovering why more persons aren't serving in minstry.  This month we'll begin what we're calling "listening tours" - opportunities to LISTEN to member of all ages, genders, and backgrounds with varying levels of church involvement.  We want to Listen to your thoughts, ideas and recommendations as we work to engage more people in ministry.  Our work is about YOU - and how we can ensure you have the information, resources and direction you need to get involved.  Step one is building our focus "listening groups."  in order to do this, we need some basic information from every member of the church.

To answer a few simple questions, Click Here and be on the lookout for how you can support us as we strive to get more people involved in ministry.

We STILL NEED volunteers to support pedestrian and vehicular flow on our parking lots before and after services. You would work with our Security and Facilities teams who lead this effort. If you can help, reach out to Deacon Carl Williams at 443-518-6274 or .

Serving God Together (SGT) Small Groups!

SmallGroupsSocialWe need Small Group leaders - you recommend the topic and help shape the outline and then, you lead the group.  Interested?  Our Small Groups are groups of people that meet to build relationships while sharing in their common interests.  We already have a crocheting group, a book club, a walking group, an exercise group, and even a group that comes together having fun playing games.  There's no limit to what type of group there could be.  We're planning to kick off more groups in October for our members to join.  Again, group leaders determine the type of group, meeting place, and meeting times.  If you are interested in leading a group or interested in joining one of our current groups, send an email to  or see Elder Carol Richardson.

Praise God for paydays!

Morning Star, are you being faithful with your giving?  Your tithes, offerings, and Imagine More gifts.  Yes - we are in the new building, but now we must meet the financial needs of maintaining the building.  And, in essence, we are maintaining this Campus (three buildings) and, until it's sold - our Winters Lane location.  We cannot do it without your faithful financial commitment.  Thank you for your sacrifices.

Do you know what today is? If it’s your pay day, it is an opportunity to honor God as our first budget line item. Be blessed!

Help Us Spread The Word

Do you work for the Social Security Administration, Centers for Medicaid and Medicare, FBI or Northrop Grumman in Woodlawn? If so, we could use your help promoting some of our Ministry activities. We understand the various complexes offer a number of community/information bulletin boards and we need members/employees who would simply place our flyers and information at these workplace community information locations. If you can help, contact Dr. Anthony Brown or Deaconess Lisa Nettles at the Church (410) 747-3417. And – if you work at another location in the area and want to help share information let Dr. Brown or Deaconess Nettles know. Thanks in advance for helping us SPREAD THE WORD
