How do I find out more about the Church’s Ministry programs?

One of the best ways to learn more about the Ministry is by participating in our New Member Classes. The classes are currently meeting on the Fourth Saturday of each Month via ZOOM. You can obtain connection information from lnettles@msbcministries.org. We also encourage you to explore the website and specifically our overall ministry listing which can provide you with an overview and contact email for all of our ministry programs. And of course we want to serve in the areas that match our spiritual gifts. I encourage you to learn more about exploring your gifts from our spiritual development ministry program

Are there specific requirements for participating in a Ministry?

Our goal is to “get you involved” so our Ministry programs are designed for inclusion, not exclusion. We should mention that we encourage persons to complete their New Member classes as they walk toward participating in a Ministry. Click Here to Join a Ministry or find out more information.

When do I get the Right Hand of Fellowship?

All those who join the church are eligible to receive the Right Hand of Fellowship.  In the Baptist Church, the Right Hand of Fellowship is a practice intended to welcome a new member into the fellowship of a congregation. It is based on Paul’s letter to the Galatians, chapter 2 verse 9, where Paul says three disciples of Jesus “gave me and Barnabas their right hands of fellowship” bonding them together as members of the new Christian church. So, this is the intent but with Covid, the process has been challenged. And, as you now know, a large part of our community is exclusively virtual.  We are exploring ways to preserve this practice.

When is Baptism?

Baptism is held before our Communion Worship Service on the 1st Sunday of each month at 3:30 p.m.  To schedule your baptism, and obtain additional information, please call the church office at (410) 747-3417.

How do I contact the Pastor?  Whether you joined twenty years ago, or yesterday, Bishop Debnam is “your” Pastor. Praise the Lord. While the size of our membership makes it difficult for Bishop to interact with each member on a regular basis, should you have a specific need to meet with the Pastor you can contact his executive assistant, Deaconess Robbin Brown at (410) 747-3417 . This is a great opportunity to emphasize words we shared earlier – “get involved.” The Bishop is very active in the ministry teaching, worshiping and participating in activities.  As such, if you’re here, you’ll see him and have the opportunity to interact with him.
